The sensory game of the fifth constructor triangle box is useful for the discovery and knowledge of plane geometry. Triangles are called constructors because each triangle is used to construct other figures. The box contains one large equilateral triangle, eleven equilateral triangles that are a quarter of the whole and six isosceles octangular triangles. All triangles, with the exception of the large equilateral, have a black line on some of their sides, which is a real guide to the exercise, as new geometric figures are formed by joining the lines on the two sides. The game encourages the discovery of geometric shapes and helps to understand that all plane shapes are made up of two or more triangles, facilitates the learning of the concepts of equivalence and similarity, stimulates the ability to concentrate, refines the sensory perception of sight and helps in the knowledge, classification and memorisation of the various figures.
Sensory material: made up of a set of objects "grouped according to a certain physical quality" - weight, temperature, size, shape, colour, sound, etc. - which are then used to create the sensory experience. - Refining the perception of each sense encourages exploration and knowledge. Age: from about four years. The fifth box and the triangle builders are made entirely of birch wood. The triangles in the box are hand-painted in grey, red, green and yellow with environmentally friendly Luxens water-based paint, certified by the Ecolabel. The triangle builders are useful for initiating the study of geometry, they educate the eye to shapes through active manipulation, they are useful for touch and sight education.
