The sensory game of thermal tablets consists of a wooden box with 6 compartments containing 6 pairs of tablets of different materials: iron, glass, marble, wood, metal and cork, which convey different thermal sensations. The game consists of looking for the tablets and appending the qualities of the materials and their temperatures, having fun recognising them by touching them from the coldest to the hottest; it encourages the ability to control and maintain attention and contributes to the development of fine motor skills. The type of material initially helps to control the right combination, after which the exercise can be carried out with a blindfold to identify the temperatures that the materials offer. Play refines sensory perception of touch, recognises different materials, is a useful key to exploring the environment, getting to know the names of materials and contributes to language development, increasing vocabulary.
Sensory material: made up of a set of objects "grouped according to a certain physical quality" - weight, temperature, size, shape, colour, sound, etc. - which are then perceived by each sense. - Refining the perception of each sense encourages exploration and knowledge. AGE: from three years old. The box is made of birch wood and contains 6 pairs of tablets: iron, glass, marble, wood, felt and cork. The senses, "windows on the world", accompany development. The game of thermal tablets, through active manipulation, is useful for touch education.
