The plant puzzle consists of a wooden frame with "soft" rounded corners, with a carved outline of a plant in the centre that allows the various joints in the frame to be positioned. The joints are made of birch wood and hand-painted, all equipped with knobs that allow an easy grip to properly handle the parts and their observation and to facilitate the fine motor skills of the hand. The special grip of the knob also introduces the child to the correct grip of the pencil. Manual activity promotes sensory memory, allows for experiences that follow on from real activities and stimulates exploration of the environment. The puzzle provides scientific knowledge, in this case related to biology, which helps, in addition to language development, to be able to name and recognise all the parts of the plant: leaves, branches, stem, roots.
