The drawer for the presentation of flat geometric shapes is made entirely of birch wood. The drawer is a rectangular tray containing a wooden frame, three tiles in which a circle, a square and an equilateral triangle are carved. The three basic geometric shapes have in common the side of the square, the side of the equilateral triangle and the diameter of the circle and are equipped with a knob to facilitate gripping and manipulation. The drawer also contains three wood-coloured tiles on which the figures can be fitted perfectly. The special grip of the knob encourages the right movement of the fingers, useful for gripping the writing instrument. The game allows you to recognise and touch the geometric figures to be extracted and repositioned in their tiles, which act as a basic frame. Being able to observe and touch the shapes and their outline stimulates the tactile-muscular sense and helps the eye to perceive the shapes. The game allows for self-correction, finding the right position encourages the development of attention and concentration.
Sensory Material: consisting of a set of objects 'grouped according to a certain physical quality' - weight, temperature, size, shape, colour, sound, etc. - Refining the perception of each sense encourages exploration and knowledge. Age: from about three years. The drawer is made entirely of birch wood, the geometric figures are hand-painted in red or blue with Luxens water-based paints with reduced environmental impact, certified by the Ecolabel. The knobs are made of beech wood. The game is useful for starting the study of geometry.
