Interlocking Europe is a geographical puzzle, made entirely of birch wood, useful for discovering and learning about geography. The basic frame, with the geographical borders highlighted, contains the continent in which to fit the nations characterised by different colours. The game encourages sensory activity of sight and touch and the memorisation of the various shapes of the nations. The knobs on each nation facilitate manipulation and fine motor skills in the hand, which are useful for holding the pencil correctly, and also indicate the position of the capitals. The game stimulates the ability to concentrate, helps to know and memorise the positions and names of the nations. The game-work can be implemented and deepened with the use of the control maps that serve to verify the correspondence of the nations and learn the names of the capitals.
