The horse puzzle is made up of a wooden frame with rounded corners, in the centre there is a carved outline of a horse that allows the various joints that make it up to be placed inside. The joints are made of wood and hand-painted, and all have knobs that allow an easy grip to properly handle and observe the parts and to facilitate the fine motor skills of the hand. The manual activity favours sensory memory, grants opportunities for experiences that follow real activities and encourages curiosity and the desire to know. The puzzle provides scientific knowledge, in this case related to zoology, supports the development of language, facilitates the study of the horse, which is fundamental for recognising and naming all its parts.
