Safety pin frame

The safety pin frame is a useful material for developing independence. The loom is a square made of wood. On its two sides there are two rectangles of fabric on the left and right that can be tied together. The game is designed to help children to dress themselves. The loom can be used to reproduce all the complex movements that need to be made in order to join two fabrics with a safety pin. The aim is to provide the child (or the adult who needs to rehabilitate this type of movement) with the means to practise safe hand movements. The frame facilitates useful exercise in wrist movement, eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. The game responds to the child's need for self-reliance and independence.
