The small hierarchy loom can be used to carry out a variety of tasks: making associations between concrete and symbolic materials, forming and reading out the numbers on the loom, furthering the memorisation of multiplication and the change technique, and performing addition and subtraction. With this material, children learn more about not only the change from tens to hundreds, but also about value setting, i.e. the precise positions in the various hierarchies. Various exercises can be carried out, thanks to which the children are also prepared for addition and subtraction in writing. It is a bridge to abstraction for addition and subtraction exercises.
Age 9 years. The frame is made of wood, the threads of metal, while all the bead material is made of plastic.
