Tangram is a game made entirely of birch wood. It consists of a square base tile containing a square divided into seven geometric figures: a square, a rhomboid and five isosceles right triangles. The game is useful for the development of the mathematical mind, stimulating observation skills, manipulation, abstract reasoning, visual perception and the sense of discovery. The game allows, through sensory experience, to break down and reconstruct a square puzzle by reasoning about the relationships between the figures, which can also be used in various combinations to form different shapes of objects or animals, for example. The tangram encourages knowledge of geometric shapes and their stylisation.
Ages from five years. The tangram is made entirely of birch wood.
