Buckles frame

The lacing frame is a useful material for developing independence. The loom is a wooden square, with two rectangles of fabric on the left and right sides that can be fastened with four easy-to-handle buckles. The game is intended to help children to dress themselves, as the loom can be used to reproduce the complex movements needed to fasten the buckles. The aim is to provide the child, or the adult who needs to rehabilitate this type of movement, with the means to practise safe hand movements. The frame facilitates useful exercise in wrist movement, eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. The game responds to the child's need for self-reliance and independence.
