Plaiting board

The weaving board is a useful material for inviting the child to weave in an easy and fun way and for developing eye-hand coordination. The game consists of a birch wood board on which are attached, at the top, three cords of different colours with the numbers one, two and three at the ends. Braiding is useful for exercising coordination and the sequence of movements and eye-handedness. The game responds to the child's need to be self-reliant and gain independence, and provides the means to practise safe hand movements. Sewing boards

The sewing board game consists of three birch wood boards with rounded corners, perforated to introduce the sewing activity. The holes are used to pass a thread from one point to another to form a simple shape such as a circle, rectangle and two straight lines. The boards are used to exercise eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills in a simple and fun way, even without using a needle. The movement of the hand is fundamental for development: the threading board game improves grip and refines coordination. The activity encourages the use of precise and clear gestures: the thread is inserted into the first hole, then continues clockwise by threading it through the others until it forms the figure indicated on the board.
