The grammar symbol ruler is part of the study and analysis of the parts of speech. Made entirely of wood, its purpose is to make the grammatical function of words visually concrete, so as to develop and help abstraction in the child. Specifically, this material makes those grammatical abstractions that are attributed to words sensorially visible and manually usable, thus facilitating their learning.
