The solid joint consists of a wooden base with rounded corners and 10 slotted holes into which 10 wooden cylinders with knobs can be inserted, corresponding exactly to each hole. The cylinders increase in height and diameter progressively, from the smallest to the largest. The solid interlocking is a very useful and fun material for educating the eye about size. By being able to touch the cylinders with ease and being able to insert and remove them independently, the concept of large and small can be learned in practice. The holes in the block are self-correcting, visually indicating the correct position of the joints, encouraging the pleasure of discovery and encouraging commitment to finding the right solution by oneself. The knobs facilitate the fine motor skills of the hand, indirectly preparing it for writing. The solid joint encourages the development of concentration and eye-hand coordination.
