The pink tower consists of a set of 10 spruce cubes of the same colour with corners varying from 1 to 10 cm. The dimensions of the cubes vary from the large cube to the small cube in height, width and depth, gradually decreasing by 1 cm. Being able to observe and touch the cubes stimulates the tactile-muscular sense, composing the cubes in a tower helps the eye to perceive dimensions, also in their three-dimensionality. This activity serves to give a concrete understanding of the concept of large and small. The cubes, in fact, do not differ in colour in order to highlight the quality of size and the proportion of dimensions. The game encourages the development of eye-hand coordination, attention and concentration and indirectly prepares the "mathematical mind" by introducing concepts of geometry, volume and the decimal system.
Sensory Material 0-3: made up of a set of objects "grouped according to a certain physical quality" - weight, temperature, size, shape, colour, sound, etc. - which are then used to create the sensory material. - Refining the perception of each sense encourages exploration and knowledge. From about 24 months. The cubes are made of fir wood, hand-painted in pink with Luxens water-based paint with reduced environmental impact, "Ecolabel" certified. It can be used in various play contexts and is a very useful teaching aid. Useful for starting the study of geometry.
